VadaTech Incorporated is seeking applications for an Embedded Software Engineering position focusing on Ethernet switch application software.  The desired application would have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and have prior work experience with the following switching and routing protocols and related technologies:

·         IEEE 802.1Q VLAN

·         STP, RSTP, MSTP

·         RIP, BGP, OSPF

·         RSVP

·         MPLS, DiffServ, etc

·         SNMP, HTTP, CLI management interfaces

·         Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet

The successful candidate will have had several years of embedded software development experience focusing on the application and networking layers.  Prior experience with PowerQUICC/PowerPC platforms is a plus.  The candidate will be expected to gather requirements internally as well as from customers, be capable of developing software in both an independent manner and with other team members, and be skilled in setting up lab testing of switching and routing hardware to verify original designs and to respond to customer support requests for existing designs.

VadaTech is looking for part-time senior IT administrator. The job is located in Las Vegas, NV.  Your primary role will be to consistently improve and maintain the systems infrastructure. Apply your prior professional IT experience in systems, server and LAN administration, network engineering, and desktop support to provide leadership, guidance and support to the team in these technical areas. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Work on maintenance of multiple servers
• Follow IT compliance standards and procedures to ensure stringent controls have been implemented to protect sensitive company assets
• Utilize your extensive knowledge and strong experience with Windows server, LAN and desktop side supporting Microsoft technologies and Linux
• The Systems Administrator will be responsible for different components within the infrastructure including mail servers, spam servers, SQL servers, etc.
• Knowledge of SonicWall Routers is a plus

The work may be done in the evening and does not require an on-site presence within the company most of the time.  Must be able to respond to possible emergency situations in a timely manner.

Responsibilities – Process Engineering:

• Participate in New Product Development process to evaluate concepts, design, prototype and test
• Responsible for performing “Design for Manufacturability” and “Design for Assembly” reviews on new and existing products to IPC and other recognized specifications
• Identify and lead implementation of new and enhanced electronic assembly capabilities
• Responsible for the design and availability of manufacturing equipment, production tools and fixtures to support pre-production builds and product launch
• Create, update, and maintain manufacturing documents for pre-production unit builds for design verification, design validation and process validation
• Manage pre-production and pilot production builds
• Drive engineering prototype and first article jobs to all relevant data for potential improvements
• Supervise operator training

Responsibilities - Quality

• Develop, implement and maintain quality systems in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100:2004
• Develop & implement internal quality improvement programs and initiatives.
• Create quality tracking reports; review quality trends; perform root cause analysis; and institute corrective & preventive actions.
• Perform internal and external process audits.
• Develop and conduct quality training programs
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve customer quality issues

Technical Requirements:

• BS degree or equivalent in a technical field (EE, ME, Materials Science, etc.) and 7+ years of increasingly responsible work in an electronics manufacturing environment, particularly in a high mix, low volume facility.
• Strong knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT), wave soldering technology, with experience in lead-free processes (RoHS compliance)
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly processes: soldering (including solder joint characteristics), brazing, adhesive bonding, welding, and precision mechanical assembly Experience in development, implementation and maintenance of quality systems and processes.
• Have strong understand of IPC standards, including IPC certification (IPC-A-600, 610, 620, or equivalent)
• Able to accomplish root cause analysis and resolve problems on a conceptual and advanced troubleshooting level
• Knowledge of ISO standards, audits and inspection techniques, and experience with ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100:2004 certification in a lead/supporting role
• Have strong understand of IPC standards, including IPC certification (IPC-A-600, 610, 620, or equivalent)
