Job Title:  Software Test Engineer

Qualifications:

Strong experience with the following programming languages, platforms and tools:
C, C++, Python, Perl scripts, Unix/Linux  

 

Primary Responsibilities:

- Assists design engineers in developing and testing prototype products.

- Will be involved in the early requirement and design phase of the product.

- Work with engineers and obtain the complete hardware and software functional requirements.

- Analyzes software/hardware requirements with regard to specifications and standards. Prepare extensive regression test cases for verifying the hardware and software against the functional requirements of the hardware/software

- Provide schedules for Test and Verification of the product.

- Develop Test Automation Scripts, Test Procedures used for software and hardware verification against functional requirements.

- Independently must determine the type of Test, create Test Setup and perform test to challenge the product.

- Communicate critical issues and provide product verification status updates.

- Provide verification report to engineering and quality on the production verification.

- Maintain the Test/Verification reports for future audits.

- Manage Test case inventory for products.

- Will be involved in Software Configuration Management

 

Requirements

- Software Engineering Degree with 7+ years in software testing and QA methodologies.

- Ability to write tests using  shell scripts, python, Perl or C/C++

- Experience writing test automation at Unit level, Services/Integration level and UI

- Experience developing and executing test plans

- Experience using automated testing tools

- Strong problem solving skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- High degree of self-motivation to learn new methodologies that will enhance job performance

The Web Designer will be responsible for designing and managing the VadaTech website and related special web projects. The Web Designer will be integral in driving and development, enhancements and integration efforts across company different tools used for engineering development.  Will also be involved working tightly with engineering group to develop easy front end web based manufacturing/test functionality.

 

 

Skills Needed:

 

  • Experience in HTML, XHTML, Java script, PHP, .NET, SQL and CSS

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain quality systems in accordance AS9100:2004.  Ensure certification to new Rev C standards
  • Develop & implement internal quality improvement programs and initiatives.
  • Promote quality achievements and performance improvements throughout the organization
  • Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the Company’s Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with AS9100.

Requirements

  • BS degree or equivalent in a technical field (EE, ME, Materials Science, etc.) and 5+ years of increasingly responsible work in an electronics manufacturing environment, particularly in a high mix, low volume facility.

  • Expert knowledge of AS9100 standards and audits.  Certification to Rev C a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT), wave soldering technology, with experience in lead-free processes (RoHS compliance) a plus
  • Have strong understand of IPC standards, including IPC certification (IPC-A-600, 610, 620, or equivalent)

Description:

VadaTech Incorporated is seeking a candidate for a full-time Software Engineering position in our Board Support Package (BSP) development / board bring-up team located in Henderson, NV (a near-by suburb of Las Vegas).  This team is responsible for performing initial board bring-up on new hardware, porting board support packages from reference designs, and developing custom device drivers and applications. 

Job Description:

·         Interface with design and test engineers throughout the product development cycle

·         Work with embedded hardware and system engineers to define and design system solutions

·         Customize boot-loader and Linux operating system kernel software

·         Identify hardware design/manufacturing defects using such tools as an oscilloscope, multi-meter, logic analyzer and JTAG probe

·         Review hardware schematics and establish methods to support the hardware design with low-level software components

·         Work with senior staff to resolve design problems

·         Contribute to technical documentation

·         Integrate software and hardware components to meet requirements and design specifications

 

Job Requirements:

·         BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree a plus)

·         Must have no less than 3 years’ experience in embedded software development (preferably embedded Linux or VxWorks based)

·         Hands-on software development with the C programming language
