Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain quality systems in accordance AS9100:2004.  Ensure certification to new Rev C standards
• Develop & implement internal quality improvement programs and initiatives.
• Promote quality achievements and performance improvements throughout the organization
• Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the Company’s Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with AS9100.
• Effectively interact with Production and Engineering development teams to maintain product quality and help introduce new products.
• Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
• Ensure testing procedures are properly understood, and carried out at the production line
• Evaluate the outcome of product quality.
• Bring together staff of different departments and disciplines in order to drive the group to plan, formulate and agree upon comprehensive quality procedures.
• Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures pertaining to QA/QC.
• Establish QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved.
• Agreeing standards and establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply.
• Set up and maintain controls and document procedures.
• Persuade reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods effectively.
• Liaison with customer’s auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customer’s specifications.
• Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
• Create quality tracking reports; review quality trends; perform root cause analysis; and institute corrective & preventive actions.
• Perform internal and external process audits.
• Organize and manage quality assurance function in close co-operation with the customers and with the company’s management team.
• Identify relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve customer quality issues
• Responsible for performing “Design for Manufacturability” and “Design for Assembly” reviews on new and existing products to IPC and other recognized specifications

Requirements

• BS degree or equivalent in a technical field (EE, ME, Materials Science, etc.) and 5+ years of increasingly responsible work in an electronics manufacturing environment, particularly in a high mix, low volume facility.
• Experience managing others
• Expert knowledge of AS9100 standards and audits.  Certification to Rev C a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT), wave soldering technology, with experience in lead-free processes (RoHS compliance) a plus
• Have strong understand of IPC standards, including IPC certification (IPC-A-600, 610, 620, or equivalent)

Working Conditions

Employee must be able to readily move around from station to station and carry 15 pounds of equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.

VadaTech Incorporated is seeking a candidate for a full-time Software Engineering position in our Board Support Package (BSP) development / board bring-up team located in Henderson, NV (a near-by suburb of Las Vegas).  This team is responsible for performing initial board bring-up on new hardware, porting board support packages from reference designs, and developing custom device drivers and applications. 

Job Description:

·         Interface with design and test engineers throughout the product development cycle

·         Work with embedded hardware and system engineers to define and design system solutions

·         Customize boot-loader and Linux operating system kernel software

·         Identify hardware design/manufacturing defects using such tools as an oscilloscope, multi-meter, logic analyzer and JTAG probe

·         Review hardware schematics and establish methods to support the hardware design with low-level software components

·         Work with senior staff to resolve design problems

·         Contribute to technical documentation

·         Integrate software and hardware components to meet requirements and design specifications

Job Requirements:

·         BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree a plus)

·         Must have no less than 3 years’ experience in embedded software development (preferably embedded Linux or VxWorks based)

·         Hands-on software development with the C programming language

·         Energetic and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

·         Knowledge with using multi-core processors is a plus

·         Experience with PowerPC, ARM and MIPS 32-bit and 64-bit SOCs is a plus

·         Some experience in hardware engineering a plus

·         Out of town candidates must be willing to relocate to the Henderson, NV area
