VadaTech, a leading manufacturer of embedded boards, enabling software and application-ready platforms, today announced the P CI516, a PCI Express add-on card to carry FPGA Mezzanine Cards (FMCs) in rugged and commercial servers. High performance applications needing FPGA processing or analogue-to-digital/digital- to-analogue conversion in standard server environments can now use the industry -standard PCIe add-on card form factor to deploy VadaTech’s field-proven portfolio of VITA 57 FMCs. With enhanced cooling and provision for local board-to-board connectivity, the PCI516 will support power-hungry applications in a server environment. Based on the widely-used AMC516, the PCI516 comes packaged with the same IP reference design implementation, complete with VHDL source code and configuration binaries.
