VadaTech, a manufacturer of embedded boards and complete application-ready platforms, now offers Express Development Platforms. The system platforms are standard, high versatile configurations designed to meet a wide range of development needs.
The first two chassis in the series, the EXP100 and EXP200 feature 6 AMC slots and 2 AMC slots respectively in 1U enclosure height. Both versions have an integrated low-cost shelf manager and universal AC power. The 2-slot is a basic low-cost design with one Intel -based processor AMC (VadaTech’s AMC720). The routing across the backplane is point-to-point, allowing any fabric to be utilized (10 or 40 GbE, SRIO, PCIe, Aurora, etc). The result is a compact, versatile, and low-cost development platform for MicroTCA/AMC based requirements.
The 6-slot Exp200 provides more optional modules with a 6 Gbps SATA storage AMC and a 16-core Cavium-based packet processor. The 6-slot chassis has PCIe Gen 2 across the fat pipes (ports 4-7) and an option for 10 GbE on ports 8-11. Both the EXP100 and EXP200 have the OS pre-installed (on processor). The covers of the 1U chassis are easily removable for prototyping and development.
The Express Development Platforms are available to ship quickly with a stock to 1 week lead time. A version for 40G/MicroTCA.4 will be available in Q4 2014. The company also provides various MicroTCA/AMC-based test and development modules. For more information on VadaTech’s Express Platform program, visit www.vadatech.com
